Will we have other work to do during the IA?

You will have to remember certain terms from the Systems Fundamentals Unit for the exam. Other than that, all time is devoted to the IA.

What is the final Due date?

The due date for all criterion is the last day of school of Year 12. There are continuous deadlines throughout the year.

To what extent can we get outside help?

You may use tutorials, videos, websites, documentation and any other resources you’d like. However, you can’t ask anyone to give you code, write code for you or fix your code.

Will there be starter code or instructions?

There will be no starter code or instructions outside of the requirements that you plan with your client.

What do I do if the product already exists?

You can have a similar product but you will need to have very clear additional features.

What is the scope of an IA product?

The IA can be as big as any of the problem sets we have done plus their corresponding creative extensions.

Can I change projects?

Yeah, as long as its within the first two weeks, otherwise you’ll bee too far behind.

Does this count towards my grade in the class?

It counts towards predicted grades, your final IB grade, and your transcript grade.
